E Labs Ventures Ltd (company number 17050248), trading as "Hypecircle", with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX ("we", "our", "us") is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The Data We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

We may collect and process the following personal data:

account information, including your name, email address, date of birth and phone number;
transaction information, including billing details, ticket purchases and order history (payment card data is processed by our payment provider and not stored by us);
promoter information, including business and payout details (processed via Stripe Connect);
ambassador information, including referral activity and points data; and
communications, including emails, support requests and feedback.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including:

IP address and approximate location;
device, browser and operating system information;
usage data such as pages visited, links clicked and time spent on the Platform; and
cookie and tracking data (see section 10).

2.3 Information from third parties

We may receive personal data from:

Stripe (payment confirmations, fraud signals and refund status);
analytics and advertising providers; and
social media platforms where you choose to sign in using those services.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

create and manage your account;
facilitate ticket purchases and deliver tickets;
administer ambassador programmes and referral tracking;
provide Promoters with analytics relating to their events (on an aggregated or pseudonymised basis where possible);
communicate with you regarding your account, transactions and (where permitted) marketing;
detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security issues; and
comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Lawful Bases for Processing

We rely on the following lawful bases under Article 6 UK GDPR:

Contract – where processing is necessary to perform our contract with you (for example, ticket purchases and account management);
Legitimate Interests – where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, including platform security, fraud prevention and service improvement, provided your rights do not override those interests;
Consent – where you have given clear consent, including for marketing communications and the use of non-essential cookies and tracking technologies;
Legal Obligation – where processing is necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

5. Sharing Your Data

With Promoters

When you purchase a ticket, we share your name and contact details with the relevant Promoter to enable them to administer the Event.

Promoters act as independent data controllers in respect of your data. They must only use your data for Event administration unless they obtain your separate consent for marketing.

Service Providers

We share personal data with trusted service providers (sub-processors), including: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), analytics providers, and advertising platforms.

These providers are contractually bound to process personal data only on our instructions and to implement appropriate safeguards.

Legal Disclosures

We may disclose personal data where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. International Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

UK adequacy regulations;
the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA); or
Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary, including:

account data – while your account is active and for a short period thereafter;
transaction data – for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes;
ambassador data – for the duration of the relevant programme and a limited period afterwards; and
marketing data – until consent is withdrawn.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

access your personal data;
correct inaccurate data;
request deletion of your data;
restrict or object to processing;
request data portability; and
withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption, access controls and regular security reviews.

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

operate and secure the Platform;
enable referral tracking for ambassador programmes;
analyse usage; and
measure advertising performance.

Non-essential cookies (including analytics and advertising cookies) are only used with your consent.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
